Your Child’s Journey
We’re delighted to give you a window into your child’s journey in our program! Below, you’ll find a glimpse of a typical day, filled with engaging activities, hands-on learning, and opportunities for exploration that make each day meaningful and joyful. Throughout the program, your child’s progress is carefully monitored using a variety of assessments, observations, and documentation, ensuring that their growth in skills, confidence, and independence is tracked consistently. Parents receive regular updates and insights, keeping you informed and connected to your child’s learning every step of the way. This approach ensures families feel supported, while children flourish with curiosity, joy, and a love of learning.
Each day in our program is thoughtfully designed to balance meaningful learning, independent exploration, and joyful social interaction. Children are warmly greeted at the door with a personal handshake and begin their day by signing in and putting away their supplies. We start with morning circle time, which includes a morning prayer, greetings, and an opportunity to share thoughts or feelings. Our circle continues with a brief Bible story review and discussion, fostering reflection, community, and curiosity.
From there, the day flows into small group lessons and independent work time, where children explore activities in language, math, sensorial, practical life, and culture and science. Each activity is approached one at a time, allowing children to set up, complete, and return materials independently, reinforcing responsibility and focus. The morning work period is interspersed with short activities for calendar, weather, and reading, keeping the rhythm engaging and balanced.

Please note: Our Russian Language Immersion program follows a similar format to our other programs, with one key difference: all core activities are conducted in Russian. Greetings, prayer, Bible reading, personal and small-group interactions, and other activities are all presented in the Russian language. Bilingual support is provided to assist children who are not yet fluent, ensuring everyone can fully participate and engage.
A Day in the Life
Monitoring Progress and Growth
At our program, we believe that consistent progress monitoring is essential for both children and parents. Tracking growth allows parents to see the development of their child’s skills, interests, and confidence over time, while giving teachers the insight needed to tailor learning experiences. Progress monitoring is completed on a regular basis and is shared in meaningful ways to keep families fully engaged in their child’s journey.
Weekly Updates:
Every Thursday, parents receive a message with photos and notes highlighting the activities their child engaged in that week.
Teachers share observations on skills practiced, progress made, and areas of growth.
Parents are encouraged to ask questions or provide feedback at any time during the week.
Quarterly Progress Reports:
At the end of each three-month quarter, a parent-teacher conference is held to discuss weekly notes and the child’s overall growth.
A comprehensive progress report is provided, including teacher reflections, recommendations, and next steps for continued learning.
Plans for the next quarter are collaboratively made, incorporating both school and parent goals for the child’s development.
Parents have ample opportunity to ask questions and share insights during the meeting.
Children’s Memory Books:
Throughout each week and quarter, children create progress scrapbooks called Memory Books that track their learning and accomplishments.
Photos of completed activities are cut and pasted onto scrapbook pages, with options to decorate, fostering reflection and pride in their work.
Children can look back on these scrapbooks to see all the skills they practiced and the joy of learning they experienced.
These scrapbooks are treasured keepsakes, given to children at the conclusion of their time in the program—serving as a lasting reminder of the growth, creativity, and meaningful memories they have made.
By combining weekly updates, quarterly progress reports, and personal scrapbooks, our approach ensures that both parents and children are actively involved in celebrating achievements, reflecting on growth, and planning for the next steps in learning. These practices make every child’s journey visible, valued, and unforgettable.
